Rifle Range Cemetery Trail, May 17, 2018
This trail, which is adjacent to the new Shuswap Memorial
Cemetery, was new to most of the group.
We walked beside a small pond, through forested trails, and
across a field, identifying a number of flowers, shrubs and trees as we went. False Solomon’s-Seal, Hooker's fairybells, and
Sarsaparilla were all in bloom and a carpet of Queen’s Cup promises to cover the
forest floor in a few days. A small
number of bird songs were heard from the tree tops, including a Western tanager.
Here is a MAP from the Shuswap Trail Alliance for those wishing visit.
